Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Kurt Van Eeghem in the radio culture show "Pompidou" about my current exhibits of Mono No Aware & Yakuza, and my future projects. Loved every minute. On Belgian national radio (vrt - Klara).
My largest exhibit to date, 118 works on display from both the Mono No Aware and Yakuza projects, for a period of no less than 5 months. There will also be quite a few previously unexhibited works of Mono No Aware that get shown.
This exhibit was made possible by ACT&ART in cooperation with CCHA.

A talk for the bachelor students of Professional Communication Management at the PXL in Hasselt, Belgium. It's a breakfast lecture, and I'll be using my Yakuza work as a case, not only how to work with your photographic subject in a long term project, but also on how to talk directly to your audience along the way, and how I got lucky launching my book.
You can see some images in a facebook album here...
I had the pleasure of speaking for an hour with Pat Donnez in his excellent show "Berg en Dal" about my projects, my hopes and my fears. A surprisingly deep conversation. On Belgian national radio (vrt - Klara).
From the 21st of March to the 25th I'll be teaching the photography students of LUCA School of Arts in Genk (BE) during a special project week.
We'll be dealing with many behind-the-scenes things like self publishing, how to deal with a long term project, how to connect to and grow your audience, how to run it like a business,... and of course how to work your @ss off and get lucky.
The Bachelor and Master candidates will also be shooting an assignment during the same week, and we'll be mounting a pop-up exhibit on Friday with the results.
Kind words by Ben van Alboom in De Standaard dS Weekblad for the opening of my exhibit in Antwerp...
Mono No Aware will be featured in premiere at Ingrid Deuss Gallery in Antwerp. And for the first time ever, the images will be accompanied by words, lifting the veil just a little on the stories behind them.
I'm absolutely thrilled to be working together with Ingrid. Since the day we first met, she immediately took my work to heart... and never stopped. Absolutely beautiful.
Come and grab a beer at the opening... I'll be there personally, it'll be great to meet!
Beautiful publication of a selection of images from a work in progress of mine... on memory, remembering, and forgetting.
In celebration of the publication of the first issue of Leica M Magazine, there is a group exhibit of work by Alex Webb, Bruce Gilden, Trent Parke, Jan Grarup, Ciril Jazbec, and yours truly with YAKUZA. Come and visit, and buy an issue of the magazine! See the issue online here.
